Let's Make This a Work Day

Our theme today was to continue eating leftovers, and then organize, organize, organize! First it started with Bike man and I disposing of recyclables, which then lead to purging of household items in our garage. The Son and I forged ahead this afternoon through mountains of unused "stuff" that needed to be pitched or set aside for a donation to Goodwill. Several hours of work turned into a team effort. With temperatures falling this afternoon and the winds howling from the north, it was a much needed project that needed to be tackled. Ten bags later...... satisfaction, accomplishment and relief! All in a days work.

Work Day

After polyurenthaning the cedar planking last summer, we decided it was time to finish our bedroom project. Thanks to the Son, we were able to tackle the start of our project this weekend. I love the look and smell of cedar, so decided to remodel our bedroom to give us the cabin feel.

We finished about 1/3 of our bedroom today and hope to continue during the month of September. Like most projects, you have the domino affect......one thing leads to another. After the walls are complete, we hope to redo the ceiling, and install new lights and a ceiling fan. It's never a dull moment when you are a homeowner!

Enjoying the fall-like temperatures. Tonight's low should reach 40 degrees....wow!
