Poor Bambi

Oh no, Bambi lost her leg!  Since we live out in the countryside, finding a Bambi leg out on the road is not uncommon.  Not sure why Bambi died, but she was obviously found by Coyotes or the neighborhood dogs. As I ran by this deer leg tonight, I just had to snap a photo.  Rural life is always interesting!

All Fur and Affection

She was so affectionate when I arrived home after work.  The next thing I know she hopped up on my shoulder to show her love.  Can you see that furry body sprawled across my shoulder?  That's crabby Abby being all sweet and happy.

I walked around the house for about five minutes while Abby hung out on my shoulder.  Who would ever think this 15 pound Main Coon cat would like to snuggle around my neck.

Abby is certainly an unusual cat, but she does have her sweet moments.  It's always nice to be greeted by my furry kids when I get home from work.

Bike man was out ice fishing late this afternoon since the perch were biting.  March is the best time of year to stock up on the fresh caught perch.  We still have two feet of lake ice....geez!

Sunday Drive

A little road trip can sure help the winter blues.  I know the calendar says spring, but it's still winter here in the great north!  Bike man and I decided to drive north to Cumberland to purchase those awesome homemade brats that we love so well.  We're having a family cookout next Sunday down on the lake ice with Bike man's daughter & family from California, so today was the perfect day to get what we needed.

And look!  We stopped by the Grain Bin bakery so I could get my sweet treat.  Haven't eaten a cinnamon or sticky bun for months now, so it was finally time to indulge in my cravings.  Small things make me happy.
