Tonight Was All About Dance

After work I headed to my son's college.  Met up with the Son so we could attend Trisha's dance ensemble tonight. What fun......I loved the music, costumes and dancers.  Hey, can you believe that I use to love to dance in my younger years?  Yup, and then I got married!  That pretty much ended my dancing days.  Does anyone dance any more?  Maybe that's a thing of the past.  Now I'm starting to feel old.  Geez!!!!!

Storm Clouds

As they predicted, the storm clouds moved in early tonight.

The clouds tonight looked so ominous.  Lots of thunder and lightning, but most of it went north of us for now.  If there's one thing I really love, it's the gentle sound of rain at night......makes for a good nights sleep.

No word yet on my dad's test results, so I'll just sit tight and wait to see what the Cardiologist recommends.  Hopefully any procedures will be taken care in a timely manner so my dad doesn't have to go through long days of worrying and stressing.

I Was Worried About.......

Dad and Mom C

I was really worried about my dad today.

Just as I was walking out the door this morning for another workshop in a nearby city, I got a phone call from my mom telling me that my dad did not pass his stress test on Monday.  So this meant that dad had to go back to the hospital this morning for a second stress test, but this time it was administered with a drug verses the physical test.

Waited all day for a phone call on my dad's prognosis, but didn't find out anything until late this afternoon.  The doctor from the University hospital in Madison will read the results tomorrow and decide if dad needs a angioplasty due to another blockage.  I will just wait to hear from my parents.  If it's not too serious, treatment will be later than sooner.  Regardless, I will be ready to head south if my parents need me.

I kind of just melted when I got home this afternoon......meaning I didn't want to do anything physical.  No bike ride, no weight training, just nothing.  Well actually, I decided to grill potatoes, sweet potatoes and onions for dinner tonight.  Also grilled a couple burgers.  That was pretty much the end of my day.

Long Day

I left at 7:45 am this morning and returned home tonight by 7:15 pm.  This is one of the reasons for working a shorter day yesterday and enjoying my bicycle commute.  These long days drag on and on.  Thank heavens I could run small errands today and enjoy some fresh air.

Just plain tuckered out tonight, and looking forward to a good night's rest.

A Typical Spring Day

Decided at the last minute this morning to hop on my bike and ride to work.  Mid forties, no breeze, and enough sunshine to keep the fingers warm.

The morning was perfect with lots of birds singing and virtually no traffic.

Then the winds began by later morning and lasted all day.  Stopped at the fitness center and did a quick workout.  Bike man met me there an hour later and we rode home together in the gusty winds.  We got a good workout that's for sure.  I'm kind of hoping for gentler conditions later this week so I can do a little more riding.  It felt good to be outside and turning the legs.

P.S. Watching Lovely Bones tonight.....wow, it's amazing movie.  Never read the book, but I'm sure the book is even better than the movie.

Celebrate

Left to right.....Becca, Nancy, Grandma Winnie & me

Today was a day to celebrate my mother-in-laws 91st birthday.  After going through a couple years of health issue, I think Grandma Winnie is looking pretty good now.

Grandma Winnie & Chris enjoying the moment!

Nancy & Jerry (Arkansas) came the farthest today.

The Rhododendron's are still blooming

Had a nice time at the birthday party this afternoon..  The clouds today gradually broke and sunshine peaked through to make an enjoyable day.  I can't believe how busy life has been lately.  I remember when life use to be simpler, or maybe just quieter.  I hope to get into a routine sooner or later....maybe later in June!!!
